FAQs
Q) When is the roller disco?
A) Wednesday nights from 9pm-1am.

Q) Where is the roller disco?
A) Jongleurs, Leeds. Please see the Venues page for a map and full address of the club.

Q) Are there any age restrictions for the roller disco?
A) Yes- you must be over 18 to attend as we operate in a club with a licensed bar. If you have a babyface or usually get asked for I.D. the don't forget to bring it!

Q) Smashing! You have a bar- does that mean I can get trollied and fall all over the place?

A) No! We do have a licensed bar but we also hope you will have the sense to drink within your limits- bear in mind that this is a ROLLER DISCO and doesn't really lend itself well to being drunk. If our marshals or bar staff suspect you may be too far under the influence of alcohol you will be asked to remove your skates for the safety of yourself and other patrons. Roller Disco is great fun without the need to get drunk anyway and we hope you will realise this yourself!

Q) Must you be able to skate well to come to Roller Disco?
A) No, not really. We have many first-timers come along to try it out. If you need any help, please grab one of our marshals on the night or email if you'd like to know more beforehand.

Q) What should I wear?
A) Whatever you want to really... We get many in fancy dress but even more people tend to wear whatever is comfortable. Wooly jumpers and hats are probably not a good idea though because roller discos can get rather warm from time to time.

Q) What music will be playing?
A) We usually have some retro disco vibes, 80's electronic, funk, jazz... If you have a request, the DJ will completely and utterly ignore you if you ask for anything by Whitney, Whigfield, East 17.... We do do retro, we don't do cheese. Glad we've got that sorted! So any serious requests might be accepted but otherwise we think you'll enjoy the musical variety.

Q) Do I need my own skates?
A) No, you can hire skates for £3 upon entry to the roller disco. You are welcome to bring your own if you want though!

Q) I'm scared of falling- do you have pads or helmets to hire?
A) Don't be scared! There are plenty of people around to help you get rolling if you're new so don't be afraid to ask. But yes, we do provide pads and helmet to anybody that requests them free of charge. We strongly recommend that all roller skaters wear protective equipment when skating in the roller disco.
